Perot Museum

Kristie had the idea to take the kids to the new Perot Museum in Dallas. Trent and I had seen it being built while we traveled from Houston to Dallas for a while but didn't know what it was. The building has very distinct architecture!

Of course there were like 9 million field trips there when we got there, but from my teacher days I knew they'd have to be leaving around 2 -2:30 ish!

We didn't even make it in the museum for the boys found some entertainment. Giant xylophones.

Nathan with the dinosaur at the entrance.

First up was the Sports Exhibit. They had this area where you could throw a ball and then you could watch it back in slow motion. Pretty cool for these sports enthusiasts!

Levi watching their replays...

Then we headed to the "How It Was Built" exhibit. This museum hasn't been open very long and there are definitely a few kinks to be worked out...

Check out those big, beautiful eyes!

hence this falling off the wall!

I love to watch him explore new things!

Sister just hung out in the stroller. :) Kicking off her uggs a few times of course.

Next up was the Children's museum area. It was kind of small but really cool! There was a little market and the boys played in there forever! Sorting groceries, shopping, putting them in the truck, then sorting again.

Checking out the inside of the log...

Look what I found popping out of the ground!

This LED wall was really cool! When you got close to it, it lit up. Kristie and I got a good kick out of Levi trying to imitate the boys. They'd run and throw themselves at the wall, then Levi would attempt. Hilarious!

Kristie and her boys went to watch a movie there, it was an hour long so I decided just to take Levi back to the children's area.

First we played in the water table. There were some not nice boys there. I really hope I can teach our kids to enjoy things all while being kind and thoughtful of others. I know they're 2, but you have to start teaching them young or they won't learn!!

I told him to turn around so I could take his picture and he plopped himself right down on the wet step!

He played on this miniature Dallas playground forever!

colored a little...

built a few things...

then went back up the rock wall to slide some more!

We explored some more things after their movie.

Of course Levi went nuts over the car!

We took this picture just for Daddy!

What a fun day exploring with our cousins!

Disney Part 4

We decided to spend our last day at Magic Kingdom. It started off with a few rides, then we went to this awful, creepy show! WEIRD! (I skipped out the Captain EO thing at Epcot to let Chloe get a nap, but word around the water cooler was it was even weirdo than this bears!)

Then the Dreams can come true parade!!

These are the grand marshals of the parade. I can't WAIT to go back when we can take Chloe to the Bippidi Boppidi Boutique (which is in Cinderella's castle.) These people were lucky enough to get to spend the NIGHT in Cinderella's Castle! Evidently Disney RANDOMLY chooses people to stay in it. It could be the 347th person to buy a hot dog at a certain stand, or 54th in line on the Buzz Lightyear ride....etc. How cool would that be?!?!

Mean ole stepsisters!!

Levi had the sweetest little wave and I will NEVER forget watching him wave at these characters! This was such a cool age to take him because he was in awe all the time.

Then it was off to lunch with Pooh and friends. Levi did much better with these guys. I'm not sure if it was because it was day 5, or because their face aren't plastic like the other ones? But he was a little more open to it!

Look how Eeyore signs his name....his eye are up there you know! I died laughing!

Getting some Eeyore love!

When they started to dance around the restaurant he started clapping and got very excited!

Tigger having a chat with our princess. :)

I really wanted Levi to ride the train since that's something he's really interested in right now. It was a nice stroll around the park!

We rode some more rides (the big kids did Space Mountain and it was even better than I remembered!) and then we went to Enchanted Tales with Belle. This is a new area at the park where they have Belle's castle and a restaurant called Be Our Guest. It was all booked up and we couldn't get reservations there, we were so bummed! (And by "we" I mean Kristie and me!) Next time...

We weren't sure about this because once we got in line we thought it might be another show. It's too new to have a fast pass and the line was only 40 minutes (which was MUCH shorter than it had been!) so we did it. I'm so glad! Our little princess was so excited!

Nathan got to be a Suit of Armor.

It was really cool because there were only probably 30 people in the room so you got to be really close to Belle!

Then we did the Little Mermaid ride. Trent and I had done it one night on our own but we all wanted to do it. Now that Chloe is here we can justify making the boys to princess stuff! Even though it's really for the mommas!

You want thingamabobs? I've got 20....

Sha la la la la don't be shy....you gotta kiss de girl!

Then it was time to go back to boring old life.... Disney is most definitely a magical place! I know it's somewhere we will visit again!!! We had a wonderful trip and got to make some wonderful memories with people we love!
