Balloon festival and Trent's 30th!

This past Saturday was a real treat! I spent most of the day with Diana and Kristie at the Beth Moore Simulcast our church hosted. Beth Moore did not disappoint of course!! I'm so glad that I have these two wonderful sisters in Christ! I love them both dearly!

Saturday night we headed out to the balloon festival for a family fun evening.

This festival is kind of a big deal in Gainesville. It's not the fanciest, but they have really cool activities for the kids! There was even an air show, but we missed that.

We just happened to check out a Babar book from the library last week where he rode in a hot air balloon. Levi was VERY anxious to see them! (It was too windy for them to fly :()

Chloe loved getting out of the stroller and running around! I have no clue how she had any energy because she didn't eat a SINGLE BITE of supper! I really hope she gets out of this phase soon. It's very annoying, and a little big worrisome.

This one was one of my faves, simple....but cool!

Of course there were some pretty ornate ones! It was too windy for them to fly, but they still did the glow which is really cool! Levi was so amazed by the fire that blew them up! And Chloe pointed over and over again!! She'd point at the balloons, then point up and say (whatever her jibberish is) sky.

Sunday we had a little birthday dinner for Trent's big birthday! We'll be gone so we all wanted to celebrate a little early. I pinned this cake a LONG time ago knowing that it would be PERFECT for his birthday! He's a chocolate lover! It's called "Ultimate Death by Chocolate Cake." True statement. It's a chocolate cake with a layer of brownie in the middle, iced with chocolate frosting and coated in chocolate chips!! Yikes! (Funny story....as we drove off for supper, Levi says "Gunner gon get on dat table eat dat BIRTDAY CAAAAAAKE! (because he must always yell those two words.) I thought, oh crap! he's right! So I made Trent turn around so I could put it on the kitchen counter. Genius I tell ya!)

We all met at Ernesto's in Pilot Point. The boys kept insisting they bring him a sombrero and sing to him. Of course Grandpa told the waitress to. Hahaha!

NafBraen (That's what Levi calls them) were dying laughing!

Sister ate nothing again...but she was in good spirits!!!

Levi taking a turn with the big hat!!

Grandpa's turn!!!

Then it was home for cake and ice cream!

He was so mad I lit the candles and made everyone sing. Hello?!?! This is a big birthday!!!!

Levi helped of course! After we made the cake he kept saying "Mine gotta sare wit Daddy!"

And it wouldn't be a proper Nelson gathering without a backyard ball game! (And the babies falling down the stairs outside.)

It would've only been more perfect in the Gann clan would have been with us! We definitely missed them on this momentous occasion!!! I kept thinking about Mimi and how MISERABLE she must've been this time 30 years ago! Hahaha....but it was so worth it, right Mimi? Surprise and all!!!

Crazy Week!

This week has been really crazy!! We've been super busy, but I love that my "super busy" involves spending my days with these beautiful kiddos!

Trent sent me this one night while I was at Zumba. (I'm now teaching twice a week because the other girl quit.)

Levi has been real into loving on the dogs. He talks in this real high pitched voice and says how cute they are, then hugs them. It's really hilarious.

The 5 of us got a MUCH needed Mommy's night out!!! There are 12 kids between the 5 of us! It was such a wonderful time! If you have a chance to go to one of these painting places, I highly recommend it. This is the 2nd time Kristie and I have been and it's so relaxing! I must add that I am NOT a painter by any means...but they do a really good job of leading you step by step!

"Charm is deceitful and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears The Lord will be greatly praised." Proverbs 31:30

"In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different." Coco Chanel

Two very powerful messages I hope our beautiful daughter will believe in.

We also got to hang out with Tia Diana, Landon, Brielle and Hason! We haven't seen them in a while so it was really great to catch up! Chloe has been in this mood where she eats NOTHING!!! Literally at some meals she hasn't eaten a single bite. Not sure what's going on but I wish she'd get over it! Of course she didn't turn down Dora cereal!

Look how precious these 3 are!!!! Levi was soooooooo excited to go to B-elle house!! I love watching them play. Or maybe LISTENING, because they think they're 10 or something and just go upstairs and play like they don't need us!! Until we hear them fighting and have to referee...hahaha. Like brother and sister sometimes!

Levi made this crown at church and he was soooooo proud! That's right buddy! Your father is the King of Kings!!!

Sissy usually falls asleep on the way home from church and doesn't even wake up to eat. This results in her getting a late lunch and some one on one time with Mommy! (And usually means Mommy doesn't get a Sunday nap if Daddy's working. :()

She looked so darling at the library this week! But she acted not so nice!! She is so different than Levi! Not timid at all usually! She was quite the handful during story hour and I was pretty worn out afterwards!

Hahahaha! Always wearing a necklace!! I just love this picture because it shows her big personality so well!

Wednesday I had my first women's bible study at the church. Our morning was all thrown off of course and Levi decided he wasn't going to go to sleep that afternoon. He laid in bed for over an hour, just never went to sleep. When we got on the road to go back to church for BIG, he was asleep before we even left the gates of Kiowa!! Hate to say "I told you so!" sweet boy!!

Yesterday Levi wanted to build a dog house. There was lots of high pitched barking going on! They were so cute!

I just love his imagination these days. I love to just listen to him play while he thinks no one is paying attention. And Chloe wants to do whatever Levi is doing!!!

Totally random

We haven't done anything too incredibly exciting lately, but we've still been having a great time!

Levi had his first asthma issue (I say issue, because attack sounds so dramatic!) a little over a week ago. After some steroids and a lot of albuterol, we're back to normal fall prevention. We spend A LOT of time with the nebulizer this time of year and I think Chloe got a little jealous!! She crawled right up I'm her daddy's lap!

We've been doing some "mommy school" and this was our "bears on a beach snack." It doesn't look like the pic on pinterest but he LOVED IT! Chloe just wants the teddy graham!

Hmmm....wonder where he gets this?? The Gann side knows what I'm talkin about!!

We had a fun lazy chore day last week. Levi LOVED helping daddy change the oil!

Can you see that spider?? It was huuuuuge!

*melting*

Sissy had a blast too! (Princess jasmine needed to help you know!)

Later we washed the golf cart and Levi's truck....teaching him early!

Sissy just played....I'm teaching her early too! That's a man job!

So serious!

Chloe loves this snake!! She carries it around saying ssssssssss!

College football kicked off so you'll know where we'll be on Saturdays!! I paint my toes a nice fall shade and we had football food, even though it was 105!

Sweet baby Collin came to visit us yesterday. We literally did nothing, but it was awesome!!!!

Some favorite quotes....

Levi:
" Dat be good?"
" yes nam" or "no nam"
"Oh wow!!!"
"Awwwww him cute!" (Gunner and sweet Collin.)
"Gotta yay down me" (lay down at night)

His constant bargaining! "First do (this) next do (that) then go bra house. Dat be good?"

Chloe: moment and quotes
"Ta to" thank you
"Da" dog
"Bop" ball

Bringing me some sparkly shoes to put on, and then bringing me different sparkly shoes to put on 3 minutes later!!! That's my girl!!

Running to the door when Levi yells "Dat daddy hooooooooome!!!"

Helping me fold clothes and unload the dishwasher

Dancing!!! She loves to dance!! She's such a ham at the library!!

And she loves to read books. Well independently, she doesn't really want you to read to her. She likes to be in charge. She loves that same fish book at Levi loved so much!
