F.U.N.! That's What Summer's About!

This post is mostly random fun we've been having over the last few weeks. I'm thrilled to say it's still been a good summer, even though I feel like I've been worried sick about Levi for almost the whole summer!

We teach the 2/3 yr olds on Wednesday night at church. Here they are having some fun learning about moses parting the waters. :)


I've been looking forward to Monsters University for a long time! We finally got to go! We had to wait for a day when Daddy was off and Nana could keep Chloe.


These two are guacamole MONSTERS! I mean it! They will shovel it in!!


Jim & Susan took the 3 of us on a boat ride. Cautious Carl was very concerned of course when their granddaughter flew off the tube! I think he thought she was gone FOREVER! haha And Chloe....well she wanted to jump out.


We picked Brielle up one day for a short little outing. She has a sweet new baby brother and I know how hard it is to try and entertain a toddler while caring for a newborn! Plus...Brielle and Levi have so much fun together so it was perfect!!

We went to Main Event and had a ton of fun until Levi lost his marbles. Glow golf was really fun! Chloe looking glowingly fabulous!


Brielle also loved her glowing dress!! They were so cute playing! There was lots of "ok it's my turn!!!" They did do a great job of taking turns, they just liked to remind the other one when it was their turn! haha


Up next was bowling. Kristie and the boys met us there so we all bowled together. Brielle knew was she was doing and did awesome! Levi had never bowled before and I think the combination of getting hungry/tired and all those people around made him bonkers. This outing probably would have lasted much longer had it not been for his total meltdown.


I tried to catch a picture of Chloe walking all over the place but let's be real....there are much more important things to do than take pictures when you're caring for 3 toddlers!


This says it all. Brielle was an angel and was SO well behaved and enjoyed every last drop! Levi...well....his face says it all. :( Sorry Brielle, Levi was kind of a buzz kill.

We went to the little water park in Denton on Dad's day off.

and then BAM it was raining. Bummer!


Chloe didn't mine! Good thing is, we weren't there long and we got a rain check!!


Then we went to spend a day with Aunt Holly and her precious Collin!! OOOOOHHHH I could just eat him up!!! How he slept through the commotion of my two children I'll never know!!

This was after Levi's first week of swim lessons so we hoped to get a little practice in. It was POURING rain when we left so I really didn't think we'd get to swim, so I forgot Chloe's floaty. :( This worked, but I wasn't comfortable letting go of it. She'll float safely all day long in her little frog float.


Then Saturday, my dad treated us all to Josh Turner! We left the kids with a non-family babysitter for the first time. They had a blast and Levi asked for her the next morning. :) Us, my parents, and Steve and Kristie had some much needed adult time with a really nice dinner and a concert!


Have you ever seen a cuter cowboy?? I sure haven't!


And here's some of me sneaking in on them while they sleep...I just love to watch them!!!

Before Chloe learned to walk, Nana gave her an early birthday present to practice. She LOVED it!

This was on our little mini vacay to the Ft. Worth Zoo/Great Wolfe Lodge. There was a plane like every 3 minutes, but Levi never got any less excited! haha!

Wonderland fun!!

Well hello blog....we meet again! Just when I was getting caught up, I got behind. :/
A couple of weeks ago, the kids and I headed to Amarillo to have some fun with Mimi and Grandpa Lin at Wonderland!! Mimi has been waiting for this day since Levi was born I'm pretty sure! We sure with Daddy could have gone, but the store was still way too busy at this point.
We got new backpacks in the mail from Grandma (Bates) just in time to pack them up for Mimi's! Levi was so excited about his. I told him to pack some toys, I turned around and he had EVERY hot wheels he owns in the backpack! (If you know him....that's A LOT!!!) I quickly had to put the kabosh on most of those. He didn't put it down the whole trip! This car trip was not so fun. Chloe slept a lot, but anytime she was awake she was crying. Levi didn't sleep the whole time. Which is ok, he's been doing better if he misses his nap, but it's hard to keep him entertained for 5 hours!




None the less...we made it!! We started off with a little dinner to charge up before the fun.




Then we hit up the carousel!!




Sissy even rode!




Then onto the boats! We've talked before about Cautious Carl, and how Chloe is not that way at all. Well it was VERY apparent on these rides! She was loving it!!









Of course Levi was THRILLED about the cars and wanted to ride them 100 times. They went a little fast for my liking.... (you can't really see Chloe's face but she's grinning from ear to ear!! She had SOOOO much fun!)




Then she decided she was going to try to turn around and stand up. Levi freaked out and was saying "Mom! Chloe!" and I was yelling "GRAB HER HAND! HOLD ON TO HER!!" I was pretty sure they would stop the ride, but they didn't!!! I about had a heart attack the rest of the ride so she was NOT allowed back on the cars. We'll try again when she can better understand directions!




Levi was very seriously driving and watching to make sure the one behind him wasn't gonna pass him. :)

This is the 2nd time they rode the boats (after the car incident.) After I stopped filming, she stood up and tried to climb into the back seat of the boat. Sheeeeeeeesh.

This was after we rode the log ride. I was pretty impressed that he even did it! When we got to the front he wanted to back out. I knew if Daddy was there, he wouldn't let him....so we charged on. He actually did fantastic and really liked it!!




Mimi and Levi shared a little ice cream....




And fed the paper pig. :)




Sissy was SACKED! It was too much fun for one night. :)




Wanna hear a story about me throwing a Chloe hissy fit? I went to get my memory card to put in the ipad and guess what.....NO MEMORY CARD IN THE CAMERA! What's worse?? I made a huge point to actually take pictures with my real camera to capture this fun night. So I snapped all those fun pics all night long without noticing the camera was saying "demo" on the screen. grrrrrrrrrrrr Thank goodness for iphones!

Baby Love!

We have 2 beautiful new additions to celebrate! Hason was born on July 5th and Collin was born on July 8th! I could hardly wait to get my hands on these boys!!! I was shocked to find out Trent was actually taking 2 days off so what better way to spend them than to drag him around DFW?? Haha...but really we were SOOOOO excited to meet them!!

First stop was my Collin!! He was so fresh I could hardly stand it!! I'm so incredibly happy for Holly & Phillip and their beautiful new baby boy!


Then we had some time to kill before heading to the Gann's house. My plan was to take the kids to Build A Bear Workshop for Chloe's first birthday but....well you know how that went. We spent the week in the hospital. So we headed on over to Frisco and did it! Levi didn't even make it out of the parking lot before he was asleep! (I might add that Trent didn't either. :))


We grabbed some dinner for the new parents and headed to meet Hason! It's probably a good thing Levi's been acting terrible or I'd have super baby fever!! Can you even get over the cuteness???


The Gann's were all up for swimming so we hopped in! Hason wasn't thrilled about the idea....


We were totally unprepared. I ironically bought a swimsuit that day, Levi swam in his undies, Chloe in a regular diaper and Daddy borrowed some trunks from Landon. Didn't stop our fun! Levi and Brielle were super happy to play together of course!


And Chloe loved just floatin around!





The king on his throne. hahaha Really it's because he's so hesitant in the water. I'm really hoping his swim lessons the next two weeks will help!

Have you ever seen a diaper that full?!? Oh and those gorgeous curls!! Just like her Momma's though...straight as a board when it dries! (Well my adult hair is super nappy after it's wet, but when I was young it was super straight.)


Ah....cutest tooshie around!

Chloe is walking everywhere now! She totally wanted to keep up with Levi & Brielle.





Congratulations to these 2 amazing families on their new additions! We love them so very much and can't wait to see the sweet boys they grow into!
