Whining

We loaded up to go to the beach one Tuesday morning. On the way home, Chloe did this....

Hmmm..."that's odd," I though. I checked her temp and it was 102! She NEVER lays down, and she laid down ALL. WEEK. LONG. I immediately called and got an appointment because I thought she'd been acting a little funny the days before.

They told me it was a virus.

Wednesday.

Thursday.

Friday.

Friday. Because Levi was tired of everyone paying attention to Sissy...

We loaded up and went back to the doc since she STILL had fever and her party was quickly approaching! They gave her some antibiotics thank goodness. Treated it as a sinus infection.

Mom and Dad kept the kids so we could go spend our whole life savings at SAM'S in one day. Sheesh....I hate making SAMS trips!!!

Chloe was soon back to herself  "fimmin" and "fippin" in the pool with her sidekick.

Good thing too, because we had a big party coming!

LOTS of Summer Fun!

After we FINALLY made it home from Memorial Day (longest day EVER.) we had to get ready for Trent's eye surgery. I thought it was going to be a pretty quick surgery, so I just planned on taking the kids with us since we were going to spend the night with Aunt Holly. It took much longer than I was expecting so they were pretty wild!!

Chloe showed off her "I do it!" in the waiting room....a lot.

We were all a little disappointed that his eye patch wasn't very "piratish!" All is good with his eye, healed up real nice!

We celebrated our sweet friend Ella's birthday at her house! Ella and Chloe are just 2 days apart!! They have such a good time playing together at church. Her mom is a teacher so we get to see more of them in the summer time!!
My kiddos were super tired, but they still had a great time!

My sweet, sweet friends Jana and Jill (Ella's mom) I'm so thankful God put these 2 girls in my life!
We also FINALLY made it to a Rangers game! We've been meaning to go for a while, and just haven't gotten there.
Grandpa and Chloe even made the jumbotron!!
She's such a little diva! It was so hot, and she sat right in between my moms legs, on an ice chest, under my mom's umbrella, and had the misting fan blowing on her. Hahaha
 So fancy!
One really happy boy!!! I LOVE to hear him say "let's go rangers!!!"

I love summer time and all the activities it brings with it!!

Fun with Friends

Jana invited us out to her parents farm for some fun and pizza! The kids had a blast!

Levi and Gavin. :)

Asleep before we made it home...
Who knows what these two were thinking...but they sure are cute!

We matched! Unintentionally....

These are pictures from Chloe's first gymnastics class. She jumped right in and loved it!

I finally got around to getting us a calendar. Something Trent's been after me to do for a while!

Just a couple of our little friends at the library. :) So sweet!!!

And here are some of Levi and Chloe's shennanigans in SAMS. They love it when Daddy "pulls something out of their ear." That's what she's doing. And she says it's a dinglehopper (which is a fork in Ariel's world!)

A few more May events...

We absolutely LOVE our new neighborhood! Everyone has been so incredibly welcoming! The people who live behind us, Judy and Jack, throw a block party every year. Complete with band, dancing, margarita machines, and TONS of food! It was a great time and fun to get to meet some people that we hadn't met yet!

The next day, our sweet Collin came for a visit!!!! He's getting so big and looks like a little boy now. :( Why do they have to grow so fast???
Just a quick random pic of our sweet girl at gymnastics. She really loves it! She gets to jump off of really high things and doesn't get in trouble, what's not to love?
One Friday night, we couldn't decide what to do for dinner.....so we drove to Highland Village. :) What better way to spend the night than playing with our cousins in the water fountains?!?!

I was totally not prepared for how wet they got, so we went back to the Gann's to dry off a bit. Brielle capitalized on the opportunity to dress up her little doll friend. :) Prettiest princesses I've EVER seen!
We finally got to take our boat out!! Woohoo!!! We have a 2 week quarantine on water craft at Lake Kiowa to avoid zebra mussels. The kids had a blast!

our matching boat flops. :)
Of course they would find the whistle! haha!
taking a swim....

Then we had a little picnic at the lodge :)

 One very happy boy!!!
We also took an adults only trip to Lake Travis to celebrate Landon's 30th birthday.

It was a really great time! We met some new friends, had a blast with ones we already knew, and enjoyed 48 hours of pretending we have no responsibilities!
Everyone went out on a boat on Sunday. These doofus'
So much fun!!

We had never really gotten to hang out with Kaytie other than our few trips to Amarillo for holidays. Which are ALWAYS crazy busy, so we had a blast hanging out with her!

And then we were quickly reminded that we ARE indeed adults that do have many responsibilities. We hydroplaned and crashed into a concrete median. We are so incredibly blessed that it wasn't worse than it was. What a way to ruin a fantastic weekend, and a really good car. :( 3 weeks later, we finally found out they were totaling it. :( I liked that car.
