Mommy of one...for a few more days!

I'm so anxious for Chloe to get here!!! With my due date just 3 days away, I'm constantly wondering if "today" will be the day! However...I'm greatly enjoying these days with just my boy! Levi is such a good little toddler, we're always wondering if we'll get that lucky with Chloe as well. Our house is mostly packed, the movers are coming FRIDAY! We are extremely excited for our new adventure in Gainesville, but will definitely miss our first home.

Levi absolutely cannot get enough of the 89 cent matchbox cars!! He's going to miss having this little window sill to play in. He lines them all up, drives them around, then puts them all in his airplane. :) He could do this for hours! He's really starting to try to mimic tons of words. He's now putting r's on the end of a lot of words, like cars and water. Instead of "caaaaaa!" it's now "carrrrrrr!" So cute!
He also loves to play with (or torture?) Gunner! He loves to trow the ball at him, or chase him around, or try to sit on him while he's eating. Haha, poor Gunner, he's such a trooper!

We went for a family swim yesterday. Here's our cool cat. He's really into his sunglasses right now!

He had a blast playing in the puddles last week. He insisted on going outside but he gets eaten alive by mosquitoes just like me. So....I doused him (and myself) in skin so soft and out we went!
And I just LOVE this pic! Just hanging out with my little buddy!
It was getting close to nap time and he couldn't get enough snuggling with this snake his Aunt Batesie got him and his blanket!
So for now...I'm soaking up the time I have with just him because I know soon I'll have my hands completely full trying to chase 2 of them around!

Batesies!!!!!!

I finally finished up my last few days at school!! I thought they'd never end! Fortunately for us, we didn't have to work the last half of the day on Thursday or all day on Friday. Since they are demolishing our school, they literally kicked us out. In order for construction to stay on track they needed us out of the building ASAP! I went out to lunch with my favorite teammates Thursday to celebrate!

Friday I decided to take Levi to Jeannie's. I wasn't really planning on it, but I knew I was going to pick up Shelly and I thought it might be nice to not have to work around my toddler's schedule. Plus Jeannie REALLY wanted him to come on his last day.

This is how he's been the last few weeks when I wake him up. I'm so thrilled that I do NOT have to wake him up anymore for 4 more years!!! It breaks my heart. He had gotten to where he would literally run from me in his crib! He would scoot over to the other side, and me and my ginormous belly couldn't bend over to get him out!

Then it was off to the airport to pick up SHELLY!!!! She's been in Kuwait for 3 years working and is finally coming home!
 First stop was Olive Garden....yum!!!!
Afterwards we came home so Shelly could shower and rest since she'd been flying for like 35 hours or something insane like that. I went to pick Levi up for the last time from Jeannie's. I'm incredibly excited to be able to stay home next year, but these two are sure going to miss each other!! It absolutely melts my heart the way his eyes light up each morning I drop him off at her house. She's been a pure heaven sent ANGEL!!!!
All of the rest of the Batesies came in Friday night to surprise Shelly. She knew Leslie was coming, but she thought the rest weren't coming until Saturday. Leslie planned a big party for her at another favorite restaurant of hers....Chuys!

Here's the rowdy end of the table. :) We were so excited to get to see Gage again!!
 Grandma and Pops! :)
Levi and Gage sharing a banana with Grandma...

It took them a while to figure out jumping on the air mattress...but once they did they loved it!!
Two adorable little rascals and bffs!!
Leslie was watching Little House on the Prairie (Yes, she's weird like that.) and for some reason these two were GLUED to the TV.
I took apart the car seat and got it all washed and ready for sweet Chloe, these two had other plans for it. haha.
I'm STILL pregnant. I was scheduled to induce tomorrow because my doctor is leaving on vacation Saturday, however when I saw her Monday I wasn't comfortable with inducing with what little progress my body had made on it's on. Levi's induction and labor and delivery was INCREDIBLY easy and I don't want to go into it again thinking it will be exactly the same when it probably won't. In fact, we've quite prepared ourselves that there's absolutely NO way it can be that easy again. So I guess we'll just keep waiting! Hopefully she either comes on her own by Friday....or stays put for another week! EEk....the thought of that is not fun, but I REALLY ADORE my doctor and will be very sad if she misses it! Of course a healthy delivery is really all that matters! She really wanted me to induce....I told her of course she did, I'm the easiest 3 grand she's every made! hahaha.

The last week....

Not a whole lot is going on in the Coleman household these days. Well actually I shouldn't say that, we're pretty much chickens with our heads cut off trying to pack up this house and make decisions while Nana, Grandpa, Uncle Steve and Aunt Kristie get stuff done for us in the new house. But hey...it's kind of become our norm now and we know it'll be over soon and we'll be on to a new chapter in our lives!

Since we sold this house, everything but the kitchen sink (I pray it will still work in the morning!) has broken. We've been up to our ears in repair men fixing those things, plus the little ones that were in our contract to fix before the sale. June will be quite crazy for us. Right now I'm scheduled to induce on the 7th of June IF I feel ready. That's one week before my due date but I am not going to do it if I don't feel like she's ready. We have movers coming on the 15th to load a truck that Trent will take to Gainesville (assuming Chloe's already here...) and then come right back. He's going to work here through the end of June. We close on the 22nd, and then we'll be gone from Houston for good at the end of June. Can you say mass chaos? Oh well...we'll make it! We are supposed to be staying with Shelly for the little time that we're here and have to be out of the house. We'll see if she doesn't kick us and our 2 PRECIOUS, but loud children out after a couple of days. :)

My parents have been very busy getting the new house ready. They've had a laundry room built, bathroom cabinets built, painted a couple of rooms for us. We've chosen floors and those will go in starting on June 4th and then the painters will come in and finish up. We're getting very excited to see our new home!!

I'm just suffering through school one hour at a time. :) It's not really THAT bad, but I'd much rather be home resting and playing with this handsome fella! That sounds better than answering questions like "Is it May?" Um...yes for 23 days now actually!

Last weekend our pool was open for the first weekend so we of course had to take Levi! He was such a water baby last year, but I think he's grown up enough to know that water can be scary now. Trent said he didn't really want to swim when he took him to San Antonio a couple of weeks ago, and he was the same this weekend. Hopefully he'll warm up after a few times at the pool. He enjoyed wandering around OUTSIDE the pool though!

I just love it when he rubs that little tummy!!

"No Dad, I think I'll just stay out here!"
He was telling us he was ready to "Go!" He waves his little hands when he says it. He much prefers evening strolls in his blue car vs. swimming these days.

He also finally got a haircut Saturday. We usually prolong that as much as we can because he acts like you're trying to kill him. This picture may seem like no big deal...but to us it was huge! We've started taking him to this little kids place. Probably not the best haircut ever, but they are FAST and they put on Cars (his favorite!) while they cut it. For the first time since he was about 5 months old he let them cut his hair! He screamed bloody murder for the first 5 minutes, but since he was in Dad's lap and got to watch Cars, he finally chilled out a little. It was so hilarious, he would look over at me and stick out his bottom lip just to remind me how miserable he was. :)
He always looks so much older after a hair cut!! He got to play with the trains since he was so good!
Not much to update on sweet Chloe, I hit 37 weeks tomorrow which means she can officially come whenever she wants and be considered full term and developed! I have started packing both mine and Chloe's hospital bag since her adorable coming home outfit finally came in!!! I can't wait to see her in it, though it will probably swallow her up!! It hasn't really dawned on me that it's all real yet. I still feel completely undeserving that the Lord has chosen me to be Levi's mommy, and now He's blessing us with another beautiful baby!!
In the midst of all the craziness of life, I'm so grateful for all the blessings we have received. It's been very easy for me to throw myself a pity party lately (which usually happens right about 3 o'clock), but the moment I pick Levi up from Jeannie's and bring him home to his Dad, it all goes away. We are SO blessed and can handle any little thing thrown at us because CHRIST is the center of this family!

Pic is at 37 weeks 1 day! Home stretch! Literally haha

Happy mothers day and 35 weeks

I got to celebrate mothers day by having my mom here all week, then spending this wonderful day with the 2 greatest boys in the world! I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful mommy and I still to this day can't believe god chose me to be Levi's mom! How great is our god that I am so undeserving and still get to raise this precious little boy!!

I'm 35 weeks now and counting down the days! Well really just the days until school is out, but I'm also very anxious to meet Chloe! I've scheduled an induction for June 7th because my doctor is going on vacation on the 9th, but I won't induce if I don't feel like we are both ready.

I'm blogging from my phone so I'll keep it short... I never know what order things are going to post in! We sold our house last weekend so please excuse the mess in the belly profile! We are supposed to close June 22nd so the next few weeks well be trying to get all packed up so we can focus on Chloe when she gets here!

Children's Museum, 33 weeks and a shower...

We decided to take Levi to the Children's Museum this past weekend since he will be 18 months old tomorrow!! I cannot believe how fast time has gone! I wasn't sure how much he'd enjoy the museum, I thought he might still be too "little." Boy was I wrong!

 Helping Dad build a bridge...

He of course spotted the car immediately and had to get in, Dad wasn't too sad. :)
Not sure whose idea it was to put golf balls all over the museum but it wasn't a good one! Golf balls are one of Levi's favorite toys and he loves to throw them. By the end of the trip we actually had him doing some of what he was supposed to be doing with them, instead of throwing every one he got his hands on.
Here he is learning how to roll a ball, much different than throwing! It was hard for him, but he tried really hard!!

Outside they have this huge water works area, he loved that of course. He was pretty much soaked by the time we were done. :)
I wish I would have been on the other side of him during this....he was so shocked and thrilled that he was getting splashed!
Had to make mom a nervous wreck by licking his hands of course....

"Uh Dad...those are NOT playground rules!"
Daddy wanted to treat him to some ice cream after the water works. :)
They have an entire floor called Tot Spot which is amazing for kids his age!! We could really relax and just let him do whatever he wanted in there.

And one of his favorites of the day....the ball pit!

Even the big kid stuff intrigued him because there were LOTS of buttons for him to push.
And Dad's favorite...the Invention Convention. They have tons of stuff set up that the kids can build and then experiment with. Dad had to launch his paper airplane of course :)

I'm 33 weeks now and feeling ready to meet this little girl! I feel like she's a lot lower than Levi was. With Levi I couldn't ever breathe because he was always up in my ribs, she's definitely not giving me that problem yet. I see my doctor again next week and then it's time for weekly visits! I can't believe it. Though when I think about still having just a little over six weeks to go, it kind of feels like a long time. My mom has almost finished her bedding and it's pretty much killing me that it's not all set up. I'm so excited about her furniture! It's already come in but we haven't picked it up yet because of the house being on the market. All we have is a closet full of adorable girly things just waiting for her! It will be like Christmas for me when I finally get to decorate the nursery!!

These incredibly sweet ladies from church threw me a small diaper shower after church on Sunday. It was a wonderful time just having lunch with some fantastic girls and getting to catch up!
The two gorgeous hostesses....Cori and Summers!!
These girls have all been such a blessing to us over the last almost 5 years! I still can't believe we've been in Houston that long!
We only have 5 weeks of school left (counting this week) and I am SOOOOOO ready to be done. My patience is always pretty short this time of year, but being super pregnant is not helping!! I bite my tongue daily from saying what is actually running through my head. :) I love my students....but any teacher knows they do some pretty ridiculous stuff this time of year.
