The rest of November...

The rest of November was a bit of a blur...an amazing one though! We settled into being parents, figuring out this new thing we brought home and had to keep alive! Even though it was stressful at times, it was a fantastic time! Levi's 2 cousins, Nathan and Braeden, (and their parents....my brother Steve and his wife Kristie ) came to meet Levi a few days after he was born.

Steve and Kristie were trying to bribe them with ice cream to take this picture. Braeden had just woke up from a nap and wasn't falling for it! Nathan however was excited he would be getting ice cream and Braeden wouldn't.

Then Mommy and Levi spent LOTS of time getting to know each other. :) We so enjoyed watching him change almost every day, I'm still amazed at the things babies accomplish in 1 month.
I don't know if all boys are this way...but Levi peed on almost EVERYTHING for the first couple of weeks. (Maybe it was just mom and dad learning how to get those diapers on good!) I resorted to him being naked most of the time. Thank goodness we don't really have winters in Houston!

Gunner wasn't real thrilled when he brought his new little brother home, but slowly they got to know each other a little better.

Levi also got to meet his friend Isabella for the first time! She's about 2 weeks older than him. She obviously thinks she too old and mature to be hanging out with baby Levi!

This one is one of my favorites. Trent's grandfather "Poppy" sits just like this when he's done eating! It's one of those running jokes....all his grandsons do it, they get done eating and push their chair back from the table to prop their leg up. I DID NOT POSE HIM LIKE THIS!
We also went to Amarillo for Thanksgiving this year. It was our year to spend Thanksgiving with Trent's family and we weren't letting a 3 week old stop us from traveling! I was really worried about Levi and how he would do with flying....he was a champ!

Levi meets Grammy and Poppy finally!

And just a few more of Levi playing with the Gann Clan!

Levi and Mimi being silly.

Levi and Auntie Diana being silly.

Me, Diana and Levi

The whole clan! This picture is something Carol makes SURE we do at every family get together. Everyone harrasses her about it, but they're nice to have!

Our little miracle!
Me and Cousin Kaytie
Uncle Brent and Brielle just chillin.
Brielle and Levi playing. It was so sweet to hear her say "bAbyyyyyyy." I can't wait to watch them grow up together.
Daddy and Levi...:)
What a wonderful month November was!

Happy Birthday Levi!

On November 1, 2010 our greatest blessing yet entered the world. Levi Jack Coleman was born at 3:21 pm weighing in at 7 lb 15 oz and 19.5 inches long. I chose to induce that day. My doctor thought for 2 weeks it would be "any day" but evidently Levi liked it in my belly! It was a very easy delivery, we couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Right before he was delivered, can you tell we just realized we were about to be parents?
I cannot put into words the amazement I felt the first time I saw him. It was such a whirlwind of emotions. I'm sure those of you who have children completely understand that :).
Our first family photo of the 3 of us!
He had so much hair when he was born!! He obviously wasn't happy about something in this picture, haha.

This was the crew we had there supporting us the day he was born. Nana and Grandpa (my parents), Mimi (Trent's mom), and Uncle Brent. Just a small fraction of the people who love this little boy!

We didn't tell anyone what we were naming him until he was born. We made lots of people angry by doing that! But hey...he's our kid and I frankly didn't care to know if you didn't like the name we'd chosen or not! :) I made everyone shirts with his name for the big day...I thought it was rather fun to have all that anticipation and then get to do a big reveal!

Fastforward to 2010...

Trent and I were married for 3 wonderful years before we decided to have a baby. I could spend days writing about the good times we had before then, but I won't write about them all. Here's just a little snippet....Honeymoon cruise, learning to rely on each other while living in Naples, going to the beach a lot, Jamaica, moving to the largest city in Texas, (those of you who know me know this was a BIG step for me!) Vegas a few times, skiing a couple of times, lots of theme park and baseball fun, (oh how we love summer!) and most of all finding a church that really strengthened our relationship with each other and with Christ. I'll stop there, but let's just say those years were fantastic.

Then....my best friend Haylea found out she and Chase would be having a baby!! I was so excited I could just pee my pants. I already had the baby bug, but this reeeealllly got me going! I wanted so bad for our kids to be close in age. Haylea is a person like no one else. I have known her since I was 11 and cannot imagine my life without her in it. I digress... Trent and I had already been discussing having kids and knew the time was coming so we decided to "see what happened." BAM...Baby Coleman on the way!

Trent's always bragging about how I can never surprise him. I think I got him this day. It was a Saturday and while he was our running morning errands I called and told him that "this month wasn't the month." Oh well...we'll try again. Then while he was raking leaves later that afternoon I showed him this. His response was "it's two negatives." WRONG! (This post makes it sound like I just sit around all day while he does errands and chores, not true :) )

The first "belly pic"

First sonogram at 8 weeks...this was when it really started to feel real! I'm one of those girls people hate that never had morning sickness or all the misery that sometimes comes with pregnancy, so it was so wonderful to see that little beating heart for the first time.

My entire pregnancy was relatively easy. Other than being REALLY exhausted in the first and last trimester I had it easy. At the 20 week sonogram they told me I had partial placenta previa which meant I would have to have a c-section if it didn't correct itself. That sounded like the end of the world at the time, but evidently it's really common. It corrected itself by 29 weeks...another answered prayer.

16 weeks

17 weeks, I couldn't wait the extra 3 week to find out the gender so we had an early sonogram. We had the nurse seal up the results and my friend Nikki made us a special cake to reveal the gender!

20 weeks

24 weeks... I grew a LOT this month!

28 weeks....a little "babymoon" to San Antonio

At about 30 weeks we had maternity pictures done. They were REALLY amazing, but REALLY expensive! (Hence the watermark on all the pics...she posted them on facebook.)

35 Weeks

37 weeks....

38.5 week...about to pop!

In the beginning....

I'm new to this whole blog thing, but my hopes are that it will be "Memories of the Colemans" that our kids can look at some day. So....I'm going to start where this family started....December 17, 2006. That's the day my life changed forever. Trent and I met in college, actually on a Personal Financial Planning Association trip in September of 2005. We went to Miami, had a hoot of a time and both got on the plane to go home and thought "that was fun, but not sure it'll go anywhere." Boy were we wrong! Little did I know God had just dropped my future into my lap. We had a beautiful wedding in Naples, FL, and so began this blessed journey.

In hopes that this will not become newest obsession...I'm stopping for the day. Levi is sleeping and I have to go to the dentist in a little while so I will play catch up again tomorrow until I make it to current day!

The PFPA gang in Miami. Hurricane Rita was coming, but we were from Texas and we were going to the beach by golly!

My Favorite pic of the two of us at our wedding!
